Carolina Panthers vs. Chargers: Prediction
- Carolina Panthers 20 Los Angeles Chargers 28
There might be some positives to take from the game, but when it is all said and done the Carolina Panthers could very well be on the losing end once again.
It is just so hard to see how the Panthers can win without Christian McCaffrey leading the charge. Things were bad enough before their star player suffered a high ankle sprain and this is a huge blow to morale as well as production on the field.
His absence from the lineup will also give the Chargers a huge lift. Everything needs to go Carolina’s way for them to defy the odds. But given how much they have gotten in their own way over the last fortnight, this seems unlikely.
Hopefully, this notion is proved wrong and everything clicks into place. Not having McCaffrey might even galvanize the roster who have undoubtedly become a little too dependent on the former first-round pick digging them out of holes almost from the day he entered the league.
Anthony Lynn’s men are a progressive team that has plenty going for them. Their defense is exceptional and this might make things extremely difficult for Teddy Bridgewater to gain any sort of momentum, especially if they fall behind early again.
Strap yourselves in, Panthers fans. It is going to be another rollercoaster during their first game in three years without McCaffrey.
