Round 3 (No. 71): Israel Mukuamu – CB (South Carolina)

The Carolina Panthers have got some good play from their cornerback group despite their preseason expectations this season. Donte Jackson has shown flashes of brilliance and Rasul Douglas has been a nice surprise after coming in late during free agency.

It might be worth adding another exciting prospect to further enhance their chances of success going forward. Israel Mukuamu is no stranger to Panthers’ fans having starred for South Carolina and he has a tremendous amount of upside.

Mukuamu is a physical corner who has the sort of range that excels in press coverage. If he can improve his recovery ability in the coming months then one fortunate NFL team could have a player of outstanding potential on their hands.

Round 4 (No. 102): Liam Eichenberg – OL (Notre Dame)

This was a high-value pick early in round four. Liam Eichenberg is a solid presence on the edge for Notre Dame and coming from a prestigious college program will aid his transition to the NFL.

His physical attributes could see Eichenberg move to the guard spot during the early stages of his development. This is an area of the field that might have some depth concerns for the Panthers if they decide not to bring back John Miller and Michael Schofield next year.
