3 young Carolina Panthers players who are emerging ballers

Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers OLB
There was plenty of excitement surrounding the prospect of Jeremy Chinn prior to his rookie season. It is fair to say he has more than lived up to expectations so far.
The Carolina Panthers made a bold move to give up one of their 2020 NFL Draft picks to move up and take Chinn at No. 64 overall. This already looks to be a shrewd move by the front office and could see the player become a focal point of their defense for years to come.
Chinn won the starting job at outside linebacker after demonstrating his incredible athleticism and versatility at training camp. To say he has made the most out of this opportunity would be something of an understatement to further enhance his claim as one of the NFL’s best defenders currently experiencing the next level for the first time.
The former Southern Illinois standout has been everywhere on the field. Chinn possesses a rare instinct to see plays develop quickly and this is matched by explosiveness that gets him to the point of attack at the earliest possible opportunity.
Chinn has recorded 27 combined tackles, 14 solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit through the first three weeks of the campaign. His sensational contribution at the Chargers played a leading role in Carolina’s success and the sky is the limit for the do-it-all defender if he continues this trend going forward.
