What are some of the ways that the Carolina Panthers can build on their impressive win at the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3?

The Carolina Panthers may have picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, but what comes next will be equally as important.

This was another giant milestone for the Carolina Panthers, who snapped a ten-game losing streak with a superb 21-16 victory at the Los Angeles Chargers. New head coach Matt Rhule can take a tremendous amount of heart from their overall display, which was another that showed progress from the previous weekend.

In truth, that is all Panthers’ fans are probably looking for at this juncture.

They underwent some incredible changes to the roster and coaching personnel this offseason. This left expectations at an all-time low, but if the Panthers can develop with each passing game in the face of some stern competition, then it might speed up their current rebuilding phase.

Rhule is keen to not call their current project a rebuild. He prefers the term ‘building’, which is fine. But it doesn’t change the fact that there is much work to be done in the coming weeks.

Carolina does have some winnable upcoming games if everything goes their way. But it is important not to get carried away with their Week 3 showing at SoFi Stadium.

It was just one win, after all.

The Panthers’ coaching staff and players know there are certain things they need to improve on going forward. Let’s take a look at four ways that Carolina can build on their morale-boosting opening success of the 2020 season.
