Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

Depending on where Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson lines up, this could be another profitable day for Robby Anderson. The free-agent signing has made a tremendous start to the season and has proved to be another shrewd acquisition by the front office.

One of the things that have really stood out regarding Anderson is his ability to create separation quickly. He is lightning fast out of his cuts and can impact the passing game all over the field.

This dispels the notion regarding Anderson being anything more than a deep-ball specialist. One would expect Peterson to line up initially against D.J. Moore. But this is a situation that might change if the former New York Jet manages to get some joy going up against second-year-pro Byron Murphy Jr.

The Carolina Panthers gave Anderson a two-year, $20 million contract with an $8 million signing bonus and $12 million guaranteed to reunite the player with his former college coach, Matt Rhule. Judging by his efforts during the first three games, it already looks to be money well spent.

Their Week 4 game might evolve into a shootout if both offenses live up their potential. This will put even more Anderson to deliver the goods when targets come his way.
