Tre Boston‘s level of play has risen significantly over the last two weeks. It is no surprise that this has coincided with improved performance on defense overall and this is more like it from a player of which much was expected following his three-year, $18 million contract extension this offseason.

The safety took time to settle this time around, which could be down to having no preseason games on the schedule. His partnership at the safety spot with Juston Burris seems to be coming along nicely and their contribution against the Cardinals was part of a dominant display from the Carolina Panthers’ defense.

Boston was one of the shining lights in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Panthers in 2019. There were substantial changes on the defensive side of the ball during the offseason and this probably played some part in the veteran making an inconsistent start.

His unrivaled enthusiasm on the field and in the locker room has been there for all to see over the last fortnight. It is clear that Boston is enjoying every second of this winning run. But he needs to be at his best against a talented Falcons passing attack if the player wants this feeling to continue.
