Seth Roberts – Carolina Panthers WR

Seth Roberts has been a relative afterthought for a Carolina Panthers offense that has been a revelation so far this season. Joe Brady has plenty of prominent mouths to feed in the passing games and it has left their free-agent signing on the outside looking in for the most part.

There was some chatter about teams perhaps making a move for Roberts prior to the campaign. If the Panthers decide that they can live without their No. 4 wideout given the strength in depth behind him, then this might just come with a move away from the franchise for the player.

This would be a disappointment from Roberts’ perspective. His ambitions to stake a claim with severely impacted by a concussion suffered during training camp and whether Carolina’s coaching staff are being cautious with the head injury is something else to consider when examining his lack of production through the first quarter of the campaign.

Roberts has just six targets, four receptions, and 31 receiving yards to his name this season. The Panthers could easily get the same or even better numbers from the likes of Pharoh Cooper or Brandon Zylstra going forward and this could see the wideout on the block just a few short months after arriving in Carolina from the Baltimore Ravens.
