What are some of the keys to victory for the Carolina Panthers when they travel to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5?

We are now just one day away before the Carolina Panthers go in search of their third straight victory at the Atlanta Falcons. This is their second NFC South divisional matchup of the season so far and their inability to secure victory at Mercedes-Benz Stadium since 2014 is another intriguing element to the contest that shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Carolina Panthers come into the game riding on the crest of a wave. Their dominant win against the Arizona Cardinals caught the attention of the national media and had some speculating that things might not be as bad as initially feared during the first year of Matt Rhule’s rebuild.

Despite their recent poor record in Atlanta, this represents a significant opportunity for the Panthers to get themselves back to a winning record. The Falcons are in complete disarray and could be without the services of star wide receiver Julio Jones, who has missed a large portion of practice this week with a hamstring injury.

Another defeat takes them to 0-5, which would almost certainly bring an end to Dan Quinn’s tenure as head coach. Their lack of conviction closing out games remains an ongoing concern and once this sort of doubt creeps onto a roster, it is very hard to recover from.

Let’s take a look at four keys to victory for the Panthers as they look to break their Atlanta hoodoo on Sunday.
