Stop Calvin Ridley

There will be more focus on Calvin Ridley than ever if the Falcons are without Julio Jones. The wide receiver already looks to be a stud at the position despite being in only his third season and he will be looking for a bounce-back game after failing to bring in any of his five targets at the Packers.

Ridley has everything one looks for in a star wideout at the next level. He is physically imposing, has exceptional hands, and possesses elite explosiveness that enables the former Alabama standout to get open at will.

These components are sure to propel Ridley to superstardom in the not-too-distant future, but he might be at this point already. The Carolina Panthers need to limit his influence on proceedings if they want to secure success, but defensive coordinator Phil Snow has gotten some top production from his cornerback group that should stand them in good stead after some early jitters.

Donte Jackson‘s outstanding speed to go down the field will probably mean he is tasked with going up against Ridley for the most part. The former LSU sensation already has two interceptions and four passes defended to his name in 2020, which is solid production considering he missed most of the opening game through injury.

Jackson also has the added benefit of an assured presence alongside him in Rasul Douglas, who can take some off the load at Atlanta after hitting the ground running in no uncertain terms after he was picked up off waivers prior to the campaign.
