The Carolina Panthers go in search of a third straight win when they travel to the struggling Atlanta Falcons in a Week 5 clash.

It has been a long time since the Carolina Panthers managed to come away with a victory at the Atlanta Falcons. But they go into Sunday’s game brimming with confidence as this ever-improving roster aims to secure their third consecutive triumph and get to a winning record.

To say this would be something of a surprise at this stage of their development would be a huge understatement. Things looked bleak for the Carolina Panthers after big changes to playing and staff personnel in recent months and a rocky opening to the 2020 campaign that saw them beaten in their opening two contests.

There were plenty of encouraging elements to take from both losses. The Panthers were at least competitive and they managed to put this all together to roll off two-straight and get themselves back to .500 after the first quarter of the season.

New head coach Matt Rhule is keen for his players to keep their long-term focus. It is a positive start, but a defeat at the Falcons in Week 5 would shift the dimension once again.

Atlanta seems to be in the sort of slump that is extremely difficult to get out of. Two shocking collapses and some inept play have put Dan Quinn on the brink and a loss to the Panthers this weekend would all-but seal his fate.

We took a look at what to expect during the game, best bets, and a score prediction ahead of a game that promises to be full of intrigue.
