What were some of the big positives for the Carolina Panthers to take from their superb victory at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5?

The Carolina Panthers are now sitting on a winning record after their sensational victory at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. This is something that nobody expected following big changes throughout the organization and a start to the campaign that saw the team lose their first two games.

Momentum has now shifted in a completely different direction. The Carolina Panthers are on a three-game winning streak and are playing with an energy that fans haven’t been able to enjoy for quite some time.

There is still plenty of work to do. But new head coach Matt Rhule is off to an exceptional start.

The former Baylor man didn’t have the easiest of transitions to the next level. Extra precautions from the NFL due to COVID-19 meant Rhule had little time to prepare his roster for the stiff challenge of competitive action. However, things are now clicking into place in the best possible way after the Panthers took some time to settle in over the first fortnight.

It is an exciting time to be associated with the Panthers. Their roster has developed some fantastic chemistry in a short space of time and considering what was expected of this group heading into the season, they appear well ahead of schedule in their bid to become a postseason contender sooner rather than later.

Let’s take a look at four big surprises that emerged from the Panthers’ superb triumph in Atlanta, which was the first time they’d won at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium since 2014.
