5 Panthers players who showed out at the Falcons in Week 5

Teddy Bridgewater – Carolina Panthers QB
Teddy Bridgewater‘s transition to the Carolina Panthers has been relatively smooth, especially when one considers the acrimonious feeling surrounding the departure of Cam Newton, who was idolized by the team’s fanbase for almost a decade.
That being said, it is hard to deny that Bridgewater is not starting to win around even the staunchest Newton loyalist. His command on the line of scrimmage is exemplary and the former first-round pick has come up with the goods more often than not.
Bridgewater’s first-half performance at the Falcons was extraordinary. He was able to move the football quickly down the field and demonstrated the sort of pocket presence that made him priority No. 1 for the Panthers in free agency.
Things may have tailed off in the second half as Carolina looked to consolidate their lead. But it was another outstanding display from the signal-caller overall.
He eventually finished the game with 313 passing yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, securing a 73 percent completion percentage in the process. Bridgewater attained a 118.0 passer rating and finished with his second-best quarterback rating of the campaign with 85.6.
It’s hard not to love Bridgewater, despite some still looking to knock him down on every bad throw. He has commanded the respect of his teammates and the decision to bring the player to the franchise is proving to be an inspired one.
