5 Panthers players who showed out at the Falcons in Week 5

Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
Robby Anderson is proving to be the free-agent signing of the summer. The wide receiver is proving that all he needed was to get out of the New York Jets to make the most out of his exceptional skill set. And it has given the Carolina Panthers two players at the position with No. 1 wideout talent.
Anderson’s chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater has been a key component of their success. Their timing was unusually off during the first few targets. But it didn’t take long for normality to resume.
The former Temple star is thriving under the guidance of his former college coach. Anderson’s one-handed catch on the sidelines in the first half was the undoubted highlight of another receiving masterclass from the player that eventually ended with eight receptions from 13 targets and 112 receiving yards.
He has now accumulated 377 yards, 34 receptions, and one touchdown through five weeks, which is exceptional production for someone who is counting just $8 million against the Panthers’ salary cap in 2020. Anderson’s route-running is moving into the elite category and his ability to hurt opposing defenses down the field has been there for all to see throughout his career.
The sky is the limit for Anderson if the player continues this level of production going forward. And it was a shrewd move by the organization to bring him in.
