Which members of the Carolina Panthers exceeded expectations from a performance perspective in their win at the Atlanta Falcons?

It was harder than it needed to be in the second half, but the Carolina Panthers dug deep for their third win of the 2020 season at the Atlanta Falcons. This was a further indication that things are trending in the right direction under Matt Rhule, who has worked incredibly hard in difficult circumstances to get his new-look roster firing on all cylinders way ahead of schedule.

This is immensely encouraging when one considers that the Carolina Panthers were tipped by some to have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft due to a large number of experienced veterans moved on for the greater good. Instead, the players are thriving under the new regime and they should get even better going forward with more time to gel on the field.

There are some stiff challenges awaiting Carolina in the coming weeks, most notably their game against the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. But the way they’ve turned things around after losing two straight to start the campaign is a further indication that the Panthers might just be in with a chance of the unlikeliest of playoff spots.

The team’s frustrated fanbase is starting to buy into what Rhule and his coaching staff are trying to achieve. This is a young, exciting roster that is playing with a fearless demeanor that has made the Panthers one of the NFL’s most exciting teams to watch.

Let’s take a look at four Panthers players who exceeded expectations from a performance perspective at the Falcons.
