Donte Jackson vs. Allen Robinson

Hopefully, for the Carolina Panthers, Donte Jackson will be fit and raring to go on Sunday. The cornerback was forced off the field through injury at the Falcons to further add to his frustrations. But there has been a lot to like about the player’s adjustment to No. 1 on the depth chart so far.

If he can take his place in the lineup, then there is another stiff test awaiting Jackson in Week 6. Allen Robinson might be a little unhappy with his contract situation in Chicago, but the wide receiver isn’t letting that interfere with getting the job done consistently.

The former Penn State standout has 35 receptions from 57 so far this season. This has resulted in 421 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and a lofty 82.2 grade from Pro Football Focus through five games.

Robinson can hurt an opposition in so many different ways. He is an elite route-runner that thrives in contested-catch situations thanks to his incredible leap and ability to bring in even the most difficult of balls thrown his way.

It would be a disaster for the Panthers if Jackson wasn’t healthy for this game. Toe issues can be complicated and it is a situation to monitor closely in the coming days. But the LSU product needs to be at 100 percent to stand any chance of limiting Robinson’s influence.
