D.J. Moore vs. Jaylon Johnson

D.J. Moore is starting to show signs of life after an indifferent start. The wide receiver broke off a big run for a vital touchdown at the Falcons that would have done his confidence the world of good. But building on this will be equally as important.

If the Carolina Panthers can get the ball out quickly and prevent the Bears’ pass-rush from doing damage. Then there will be opportunities for Moore and Robby Anderson to become influential.

The free-agent signing from the New York Jets might find himself up against Kyle Fuller due to his exceptional start to the campaign, which would leave the former Maryland standout testing his skills against the talented Jaylon Johnson.

The cornerback has been solid if not spectacular this season. He has given up 17 receptions from 34 targets on his way to a 56.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. But there are some kinks to his armor that Moore might be able to take advantage of.

Moore might not be considered the No. 1 receiver in Carolina at the present time. But the Bears should ignore him at their peril.

Chicago’s secondary hasn’t really been tested significantly this season so far. That might be about to change providing offensive coordinator Joe Brady puts the right scheme in place.
