Make red zone opportunities count

The Carolina Panthers got away with not making the most out of their red zone opportunities at the Falcons. But this won’t be the case against the Bears and their elite defense.

This game is going to be hard-fought, physical, and decided by a few points. Carolina can boost their cause by getting into the end zone once they get inside Chicago’s 20-yard line.

It will need to be a collective effort. Joe Brady’s has to get his play-calling spot on in this area, Teddy Bridgewater needs to be decisive, and the wide receivers have to get open and to their spots quickly.

Much will also depend on how the offensive line holds up in the face of what is expected to be some sustained pressure throughout. Chicago is giving up 113.2 yards-per-game on the ground, so this might be an area that the Panthers could exploit at the business end of the field.

There can be no margin for error this weekend. This game should be decided by fine margins if the spread is any indication and if the Panthers want to come out of the other end with a fourth consecutive win, it is going to do their chances going forward a substantial amount of good in the lead-up to their crunch clash at the New Orleans Saints.
