4 trade deadline targets at LB for the Carolina Panthers

Oren Burks – Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are in sensational form this season, which has left opportunities limited for Oren Burks. This could mean the organization is willing to field calls for a player that hasn’t seen much action in 2020. And this is an opportunity that the Carolina Panthers shouldn’t let pass them by in this scenario.
Burks is a lengthy linebacker who has supreme explosiveness. This is something that has been sorely missing at the second level outside of exceptional rookie Jeremy Chinn, who has been nothing short of a revelation since arriving in Carolina.
There seems to be plenty of encouraging signs regarding Burks’ long-term future in Green Bay. They have high hopes for him to develop into a top player with more experience under his belt. But the Packers are in win-now mode and have a realistic shot at securing another Super Bowl berth at the end of the campaign.
This has left Burks on the outside looking in. But there would be a bigger role awaiting him with the Panthers, of that there is little doubt. His limited action this season has resulted in an outstanding 77.7 grade from Pro Football Focus, with his versatility also seeing some time at outside linebacker.
