Mike Davis will rush for at least 150 yards.

Facing one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers will need to get creative and lean on the run game. It would be easier to predict that Mike Davis will gain 150 yards from scrimmage, but he came within one yard of accomplishing that last week, and this is bold predictions, after all.

Here are a couple of reasons why Davis should have success on the ground.

First, Chicago is 16th against the run, two sports worse than the Atlanta Falcons. Although Carolina mostly passed throughout the first half, Davis looked monstrous when his number was called, breaking tackles and carrying defenders for extra yardage. His physical style of running should be a good matchup to watch against the Bears defense led by former Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack.

Second, the Panthers will have the benefit of playing in their home stadium in Charlotte where the forecast is 68°F and sunny. These conditions should bode well for an offense that played with speed and great rhythm in their last game at Bank of America Stadium against the Arizona Cardinals.

In yet another week where Carolina will be without the services of Christian McCaffrey, they may need Davis to pull off one more heroic performance before the All-Pro returns to the lineup.
