Allen Robinson – WR
The Carolina Panthers have gotten some nice production from their cornerback room so far this season. They have come together quickly and provided a nice assurance in the face of some stern competition through five games of the 2020 season.
Another big challenge awaits them this weekend in the form of Allen Robinson. There has been plenty of speculation regarding the player’s happiness due to his desire for a new deal, but this is something he isn’t letting affect his ability to make big plays on the field.
Robinson already has 35 receptions from 57 targets for 421 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season. This has also included some mesmerizing catches that further enhanced his reputation as one of the NFL’s best playmakers at wide receiver.
The daunting task of slowing Robinson down will fall primarily on the shoulders of Donte Jackson. The former LSU standout has been in tremendous form this season as he looks to make the No. 1 spot in Carolina his own. But he has had some trouble staying healthy which represents something of a concern.
Jackson has all the skills needed to limit Robinson’s influence. But there will be times when the corner needs help from the safety duo of Juston Burris and Tre Boston on the backend.
