Carolina Panthers vs. Bears: What to expect

This is going to be a game that might come down to the odd play here and there. Both teams look evenly matched and a sparse crowd at Bank of America Stadium due to COVID-19 health concerns will only level the playing field further.

The Carolina Panthers have gotten off to strong starts during this winning streak, and this is something that needs to continue in no uncertain terms in this one. That might be easier said than done against the Bears and their dominant defense. But offensive coordinator Joe Brady is gaining a strong reputation for scheming everything to perfection in order to succeed.

Chicago might be sitting at 4-1, but there are some areas that can be exploited. There are also some questions surrounding quarterback Nick Foles, who replaced Mitchell Trubisky earlier this season.

The Panthers will need to take their opportunities when they arrive, control the clock, and try and limit Chicago’s primary offensive playmakers such as David Montgomery, Allen Robinson, and veteran tight end Jimmy Graham. They will also need a big game from former Bear Mike Davis, which will negate their substantial pass-rushing threat somewhat.

If Carolina can do this efficiently and give themselves something to hold onto, then it might just be enough to achieve another notable success.
