Carolina Panthers vs. Bears: Prediction

This will arguably be the Carolina Panthers’ sternest test of the season. Not only are they making the NFL world sit up and take notice, but the Bears pose a significant threat defensively that could be crucial in the overall outcome.

The Panthers offense has too many potent weapons to keep quiet for a full game. If their protection plays to the sort of level we have seen so far this season, then there is every chance they can make further noise by knocking off Matt Nagy’s men and boost their ever-increasing playoff hopes in the process.

There is nothing to fear regarding the Chicago offense despite the presence of Allen Robinson and David Montgomery. The running back might see this as an opportunity for a big game due to Carolina’s difficulty stopping the run of late. But having Brian Burns fit and raring to go is a real boost that could make all the difference.

Joey Slye might also play a pivotal role in any success that comes the Panthers’ way. The kicker has been at the top of his game so far this season and if this is a trend that continues in Week 6, then it is going to do their chances an enormous amount of good.

Prediction: Carolina Panthers 24 Chicago Bears 17

Although not many expected it at the start of the campaign, there is plenty riding on this game for both teams. Who gains the upper hand at big moments will be key and if the Panthers can continue to show improvements they can win for the fourth time this season.
