Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers OLB

You are almost out of superlatives when it comes to the level of production Jeremy Chinn has given the Carolina Panthers through six weeks of the 2020 season. The rookie was one of the real bright spots in a disappointing result yet again and the sky is the limit for the defensive playmaker if he continues this trend going forward.

There is so much to like about the way Chinn applies himself. One of the biggest compliments you can give is that you would never think he hadn’t operated at outside linebacker at the next level before.

He is playing with a youthful exuberance that is matched with a veteran savvy mentality that defies his tender age. Chinn has got the world at his feet and is only going to get better with more experience. But he is going to need more help from Shaq Thompson and Tahir Whitehead at the second level to further shore up an area of the field that is rapidly becoming a big problem.

Chinn picked up his first NFL interception to cap off another superb outing for the Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate. The Panthers can be criticized for plenty of their recent draft picks or moves in free agency. But moving back into the second round to secure the services of the former Southern Illinois standout was an incredible piece of business.
