4 tight ends the Carolina Panthers should target in the 2021 NFL Draft
By Dean Jones
Brevin Jordan – Miami
There is nothing that Brevin Jordan cannot seem to do on the football field. He represents an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses thanks to his exceptional physical attributes. And this is matched by fierce competitiveness that really sets him apart from others at the position.
If the Carolina Panthers eventually decide to allocate a high-end draft pick on a viable long-term option, then they would do far worse than look in the direction of Jordan. He has the ability to impact the game on short routes, across the middle, or even deep should the opportunity arise and might be a significant upgrade on what the current roster has to work with.
Jordan has accumulated 1,025 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, and 85 receptions during his time with the Hurricanes so far. His outstanding ability to create yards after the catch is a standout feature of his play and although it might not look it, the prospect is also highly effective in blocking situations.
There are some questions that the player needs to answer, most notably his ability to create separation in press coverage. But there are plenty of likable traits surrounding Jordan that might add a different dimension to the Panthers exceptional passing attack going forward.
