Atlanta Falcons

One place where Joe Brady might be in with a realistic shot of ending up is with an NFC South rival. This would be the worst-case scenario for the Carolina Panthers and they would undoubtedly move heaven and earth to try and stop their offensive coordinator from moving to the Atlanta Falcons.

Dan Quinn was finally put out of his misery when the Panthers beat the Falcons in Week 5. This was the first time that Carolina had won in Atlanta since 2014 and proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for team owner Arthur Blank.

This would be an enticing job for Brady. The Falcons have some dynamic weapons on offense that are clearly being held back by deficiencies elsewhere. And there is just no telling what some fresh ideas would do for the likes of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley going forward.

Raheem Morris will get the first chance to stake a claim for the vacant head coaching job after been appointed to the interim role. He has his work cut out trying to turn things around in the short-term on a team that is now 1-5 and severely lacking in confidence. If he fails to deliver the goods, then the Falcons will probably take a close look at Brady before finalizing their shortlist.
