Taylor Moton vs. Cameron Jordan

The tests keep coming thick and fast for Taylor Moton. He has passed every single one so far during a standout campaign. But the Carolina Panthers need him to be at his brilliant best once again against the dominant presence of Cameron Jordan.

Moton is one of the NFL’s best edge protectors, of that there is little doubt. The right tackle has given up just one sack and one penalty from 400 offensive snaps this season, which has seen the player earn a lofty 79.2 grade from Pro Football Focus.

More importantly, it has boosted the player’s chances of getting some serious money when his contract expires this spring. If Moton can come through this latest challenge with another dominant display, then it is going to leave no doubt regarding his importance to the Panthers going forward.

Jordan is a ferocious presence on the edge that is incredibly difficult to stop one-on-one. The former first-round pick has accumulated just 1.5 sacks so far. But he is a three-down threat that is equally adept at preventing Carolina from getting yards on the ground.

This is going to be a tough ask for Moton. But it is one that he can go into with a tremendous amount of confidence after shutting down some of the league’s best pass-rushers in recent weeks.
