Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

Robby Anderson has been nothing short of phenomenal this season. There were plenty of eyebrows raised when the Carolina Panthers offered him a two-year, $20 million deal with an $8 million signing bonus and $12 million guaranteed during free agency. But his production so far makes this deal look like a bargain.

There is a big opportunity for Anderson to put up some substantial numbers on Sunday. For all the positives in New Orleans, their lack of ability in coverage has caused plenty of complications through five games and this is something the former New York Jet can take full advantage of.

Anderson has proven much more than just a deep threat during his initial time with the Panthers. His ability to get downfield has been there for all to see throughout his career, of that there is little doubt. But the player’s elite route-running to get open quickly over short to intermediate routes has been equally as impressive.

The wideout has a 78.4 percent catch percentage through six games, which is remarkable when one considers how quickly Anderson has emerged as the focal point of Carolina’s passing attack.

New Orleans, and Marshon Lattimore in particular, might be better after their bye week. But it would be a huge surprise if the receiver didn’t have a say.
