Which Carolina Panthers’ roleplayers need to shine in a pivotal NFC South divisional matchup at the New Orleans Saints in Week 7?

It’s hard to believe we are already at Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season. The Carolina Panthers have been better than expected for the most part through six weeks. But what comes next will be equally as important to their short and long-term aspirations.

Coming up against the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is always a tough ask of any team. There will be a few fans in the stands for the first time after the team threatened to move their home games to LSU’s Tiger Stadium and whether this has a detrimental impact on the Carolina Panthers and their chances of winning remains to be seen.

There was some good news for the Panthers, who won’t be coming up against the prolific wide receiver duo of Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Both players have already been ruled out of the contest, which represents a boost to a secondary that will be without the services of Juston Burris and Rasul Douglas.

Head coach Matt Rhule has endured some disruption this week with players coming and going off the reserve/COVID-19 lost. This is something that is becoming more prevalent across the league and it represents a chance for those on the fringes to make their mark.

Let’s take a look at four Panthers roleplayers who could make a big difference on Sunday at the Saints.
