Trey Hendrickson – DE

While Cameron Jordan gets most of the media attention for the Saints, his defensive end partner is quickly emerging as a formidable presence on the opposite end. Trey Hendrickson has enjoyed a tremendous start to the 2020 season after earning a starting spot during training camp and there is a lot to like about his chances of forging a prolific NFL career if he continues to progress.

Hendrickson has already amassed 4.5 sacks through his first five games. This is the same amount that he generated throughout the 2019 season and if the Carolina Panthers don’t take his threat seriously, they will pay the price.

How the Panthers cope with Hendrickson will come down largely to veteran Pro Bowler Russell Okung. The Super Bowl winner has been a consistent performer since arriving in Carolina via a trade that sent Trai Turner to the Los Angeles Chargers, but he needs to be at his best to cope with the former third-round pick.

The edge rusher possesses a high motor and has developed his technique with every passing year. More time on the field has been the making of Hendrickson and he could have a big say in proceedings if his effort manages to get the better of Okung.
