Which members of the Carolina Panthers are missing from the roster for their Week 7 game at the New Orleans Saints?

We now know who will take the field for the Carolina Panthers in their crunch clash at the New Orleans Saints. Both teams are missing some key roster members who were ruled out earlier this week, which includes All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas and starting cornerback Rasul Douglas on the other side. So which roleplayers stand up to be counted will go a long way to determining the overall outcome.

It’s been a rough week for the Carolina Panthers. Players have come and gone from the reserve/COVID-19 list more frequently than ever before and this is not the most ideal preparation period before going up against a team that could yet make a deep postseason run despite getting off to an indifferent start.

There was some good news to emerge from all the relative doom and gloom. No. 1 cornerback Donte Jackson and do-it-all wide receiver Curtis Samuel take their place in the lineup, with free-agent signing Eli Apple also passed fit as he looks to make his first meaningful contribution of the campaign.

Those missing out on the game are starting guard John Miller, with P.J. Walker selected as the quarterback to back up former Saints signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater for his return to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

This is going to be a game where the Panthers need everything to go right to gain arguably their most impressive win of the season. There is just no telling what a win of this magnitude would do for their immediate aspirations. Hopefully, a roster that has been fully on board with Bridgewater during his initial transition puts in an extra bit of effort on their path to possible success.
