D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

D.J. Moore is growing in confidence with every passing game. His at the Saints was another big step in the right direction and now gives the Carolina Panthers a potent wide receiver tandem on the outside that might be the NFL’s best.

This loss was not on the offense. They were giving New Orleans a significant amount of problems and had the Panthers’ defense made one or two more stops on third down then it might have been a different story.

Moore was absolutely outstanding throughout. He took advantage of some suspect coverage in the secondary and even managed to find the end zone on two occasions. This is something that has been missing from his game since he entered the league and if he can find more consistency scoring touchdowns then the former Maryland standout will be the complete wideout.

It might have taken time for Moore to adjust to having another prolific receiver opposite him, which he hasn’t had during his career so far. The Panthers do have running back Christian McCaffrey coming back possibly against the Falcons on Thursday, but they would be foolish to go away from Moore and Anderson once the All-Pro is ready for a return to the lineup.

Moore ended the game with four catches for 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This equates to a lofty 23.3 yards-per-reception and there is another good opportunity awaiting the player in Week 8.
