Which members of the Carolina Panthers are most important to their chances against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8?

If the Carolina Panthers can get back to 4-4 at the halfway point of the 2020 season with a victory over the Atlanta Falcons, it would be a massive confidence boost. Their young roster has held their own against some legitimate Super Bowl contenders this season and they appear to be way ahead of schedule compared to what was expected of the organization after substantial changes across the board before competitive action began.

It is a solid start. But the Carolina Panthers know they need to back this up on Thursday Night Football in a game they should win. The Falcons do have the tools at their disposal that will punish you if they are taken lightly, so their focus is going to be more important than anything on during their first and only primetime game of the season.

Matt Rhule has worked wonders with this roster during the most difficult of circumstances. The head coach looks to be the right hire at this juncture and Carolina’s decision to go with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is another big call that has paid off through seven weeks of the campaign.

The Panthers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in consecutive weeks following their game against Atlanta. Given the unlikelihood of Carolina gaining anything from these fixtures, it makes a positive result in this one all the more vital.

Here are four Panthers players who could be the most important to their chance of victory versus the Falcons.
