Teddy Bridgewater – Carolina Panthers QB

Teddy Bridgewater‘s previous outing against the Falcons was arguably his best of the season so far. The quarterback seems to be growing in stature with every passing game and it appears the Carolina Panthers were right to go with him over Cam Newton.

Even if some aren’t ready to talk about it yet.

The former first-round pick is commanding the line of scrimmage extremely well. He is well-suited to offensive coordinator Joe Brady’s scheme and is among the NFL’s most accurate passers with a 72.2 percent completion percentage, which is benefitting the Panthers considerably.

It’s hard to believe that Bridgewater hadn’t started prominently in the league since 2015 before this season. The poise in which he is approaching almost every play makes the worries about his leg injury a thing of the past and the future looks incredibly bright in Carolina if things keep trending in a positive direction.

Bridgewater finished their win over the Falcons in Week 5 with 313 passing yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, a quarterback rating of 119.3, and a completion percentage of 75 percent. Anything similar to this on Thursday Night Football should give Carolina more than a good chance of winning, which would be another feather in his cap before two big challenges over the next fortnight.
