4 big Panthers disappointments in Week 8 loss vs. the Falcons

One of the main problem areas for the Carolina Panthers was their lack of protection. This is an area that is growing more of a concern with each passing game and significant adjustments need to be made before they take the field at the Chiefs.
Much of their problems arose from their interior, which has regressed considerably after an encouraging start. It’s clear that Chris Reed is not a competent NFL starter and center Matt Paradis reverted to the form we saw from the player in 2019.
John Miller didn’t look 100 percent healthy after being questionable for the game, which enabled the Falcons to pick apart soft schemes and get after Teddy Bridgewater consistently. If things continue to deteriorate from this trio, then it is going to become a problem the Panthers might not be able to overcome.
Although Taylor Moton’s production has been stellar this season, he will also look back on his contribution with a sense of disappointment. Carolina also missed veteran left tackle Russell Okung, with Greg Little’s latest audition for the long-term starting role didn’t go according to plan.
Carolina gave up three sacks, which came at critical moments. The Chiefs have a dominant defensive front who will be salivating at the thought of coming up against the Panthers in Week 9.
