Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

Robby Anderson didn’t exactly come to the Carolina Panthers in free agency with no expectations on his shoulders. The free-agent signing was looking to take a giant leap forward after finally escaping the toxic environment of the New York Jets and it’s safe to say he’s really made the most out of the opportunity so far.

Anderson’s level of production has been one of the real surprises at the midseason point. His chemistry with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was on point from the word go and this is going to result in some career numbers by the end of the campaign.

Linking up with his former college coach Matt Rhule has also done him the world of good. It’s clear that the pair have a great relationship and knowing what’s expected from a scheme perspective has also aided his transition to a different environment considerably.

The former undrafted product out of Temple already has 51 receptions, 688 receiving yards, one touchdown, and a Pro Football Focus grade of 78.6 through eight weeks of the season. Anderson is only going to get better with more time on the field with a talented offense and a longer stay in Carolina than the two-year contract he signed is a realistic proposition in no uncertain terms.
