4 trade deadline targets to boost Carolina Panthers pass-rush

Kyler Fackrell – OLB (New York Giants)
The New York Giants have made a lot of mistakes over the years, but signing Kyler Fackrell in free agency doesn’t appear to be one of them. The outside linebacker has been a tremendous addition to a struggling defense overall. However, it’s going to take more than one man to fix the problems across the board at MetLife Stadium.
With the Giants to yet another season of abject failure, so they might decide to get some additional draft capital any way they can to further boost their chances of a successful rebuild.
Fackrell would be an option worth considering for the Carolina Panthers if they want to put some pressure on Shaq Thompson, who has struggled to make the sort of impression both the team and the player were expecting during the first half of the campaign.
The former Green Bay Packer already has three sacks, 23 combined tackles, 16 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, and 10 pressures to his name. So if he could bring something similar to Phil Snow’s scheme then he is well worth a look.
Making this sort of move would be a statement of intent. Fackrell is a plug-and-play starter on the edge that might even bring better production out of Thompson with his place in the starting lineup in jeopardy.
