Post-trade deadline free agents the Carolina Panthers should target.

The trade deadline came and went without any major move from the Carolina Panthers. Things might have been different had they been sitting with a better record than 3-5, but it might represent a missed opportunity to bring in a quality addition from a team who has already waved the white flag halfway through the 2020 season.

This does leave the Carolina Panthers with some problem areas that could cost them during the second half of the campaign. Matt Rhule’s men face some stern challenges before their Week 13 bye and it remains to be seen whether the current options at its disposal who are currently struggling can produce the goods when it matters most.

Whether this is a situation that could be resolved by bringing in an experienced free-agent or two is up for debate. There is always some skepticism about acquiring someone at this stage of the season. But the simple fact of the matter is that Carolina has glaring deficiencies that opposing teams will look to expose in no uncertain terms.

They do have around $5 million in salary-cap space remaining and it wouldn’t exactly break the bank to bring in additional help at this juncture. Carolina’s recent slump could spiral out of control if the decision-makers don’t at least try and rectify certain positional group struggles and this would leave more questions than answers regarding just how long their current rebuild is going to take.

Here are four free agents that the Panthers might consider calling now their chances of bringing in someone via trade have gone.
