2020 midseason awards for the Carolina Panthers.

The 2020 season is now at the midway point and things seem to be going according to plan for the Carolina Panthers. Having a 3-5 record at this juncture might not seem that great, but given what was expected of the roster going into the campaign, it is hardly the end of the world.

Whether things will get better in the immediate future is up for debate. The Carolina Panthers have some tough tests between now and the conclusion of competitive action. From the outside looking in, any success they can generate through their final eight games will be a bonus.

One thing that has become evident is that head coach Matt Rhule is the right man for the job. He has conducted himself extremely well in difficult circumstances and this can give everyone associated with the organization a huge sense of encouragement.

More will obviously be needed if Carolina wants to enter the postseason discussion in the near future. The coaching staff will be all-too-aware of this and they should already be making plans on how to adjust their roster during another important offseason period in 2021.

It hasn’t been all doom and gloom for the Panthers. Their three-game winning run got the NFL world buzzing and they have been competitive for the most part against leading Super Bowl contenders without quite getting over the line.

For now, here are our 2020 midseason awards for the Panthers through their first eight contests.
