What’s going on with these 4 invisible Carolina Panthers players?

Kenny Robinson – Carolina Panthers S
Kenny Robinson was taken in the fifth round by the Carolina Panthers after a colorful path to the NFL. The safety did show some promise during his time with the XFL, but that hasn’t made the smoothest of transitions to the big leagues so far.
There is nothing to suggest Robinson cannot make a contribution down the line, but he does appear to be a work in progress. Whatever the Panthers saw from the prospect during the evaluation process hasn’t impressed the coaching staff as much during team drills, with the former West Virginia standout even getting cut by the organization before returning on the practice squad.
An injury to Juston Burris saw Robinson called-up to the 53-man roster. But he hasn’t seen the field for any first-team defensive snaps as yet and it remains to be seen whether this is a trend that continues going forward.
Robinson has gotten a taste of the NFL on special teams, which will give him some confidence. However, Carolina clearly doesn’t trust the player enough yet and one only has to look at their preference to start undrafted rookie Sam Franklin ahead of the fifth-rounder to see how much the player has to do to convince Matt Rhule and others that he is worth a shot down the road.
