D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

D.J. Moore‘s lack of involvement was something of a surprise during their home loss to the Falcons on Thursday Night Football. This is a trend that needs to change in Week 9 to give the Carolina Panthers any chance of coming away from the Chiefs with a win.

If the Panthers want to take away anything from this game, they need to put up significant points on the board. This can only be done by moving the ball more efficiently and Moore is a huge part of that.

The former first-round pick has been in good form this season. There were some timing issues with Teddy Bridgewater early on and it doesn’t appear as if the wideout is the team’s No. 1 target in the passing game any more thanks to the presence of free-agent signing Robby Anderson.

However, this does not detract from what a vital component Moore is to the Panthers. One only has to look at the complications that came with the player gaining just two receptions against the Falcons to see that.

There should be more chances for Moore to showcase his immense skill set this weekend. Carolina might have no other alternative other than to try and go toe-to-toe with the Chiefs for as long as they can and hope the defense manages to get the stops needed in the face of an elite passing attack.
