Carolina Panthers at Chiefs: Best bets

It should come as no surprise that the Chiefs are heavily favored. The opening line of -12 has come down to between 10-10.5 during the week, which can be attributed to the impending return of Christian McCaffrey to the Carolina Panthers’ 53-man roster.

This is probably the correct line when one considers the direction in which both teams are currently heading. As stated previously, it would be one of the season’s biggest upsets if the Panthers could pull it off and they have at least been competitive against some ambitious postseason challengers this season without quite getting over the line down the stretch.

It’s hard to see just how the Panthers can get anything from this one. Kansas City is so strong everywhere you look and taking the -10.5 is probably the only solace Carolina’s fanbase can get if they want to make themselves some money.

There should be plenty of points scored given the offensive talent on show. Turning this into a shootout isn’t out of the realms of possibility for the Panthers, but whether they can hang with the Chiefs in this aspect is another matter.

That being said, betting the over 52.5 seems like the right play.
