Who are the most important Carolina Panthers players at the Chiefs?

We are just a few short hours away from the Carolina Panthers taking the field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Week 9 game against the Chiefs is undoubtedly their toughest of the season so far and it will serve as a good indicator as to just how much more needs to be done to get the organization back to postseason relevancy.

Kansas City is a heavy favorite, which is to be expected for the defending Super Bowl champions in almost any game in their current form. What the Carolina Panthers need to do is try and stop quarterback Patrick Mahomes from getting off to a hot start offensively and somehow make inroads into a defense that is still vastly underrated.

There was some good news for the Panthers going into the contest. They have officially activated Christian McCaffrey to the 53-man roster once again after the running back impressed during practices this week.

This is a substantial boost to a young roster who are going to be heavily reliant on the All-Pro from the outset. But just how many carries he’ll get after a six-week absence remains to be seen.

Carolina cannot have any passengers in this one. Their leading players need to stand up and be counted, with rotational roster members also set to shoulder plenty of responsibility at the NFL’s best team.

Here are four Panthers players who are going to be pivotal in any success that comes Carolina’s way.
