Which sneaky threats should the Carolina Panthers worry about at the Chiefs?

From the outside looking in, this might be considered the worst possible time for the Carolina Panthers to be facing the Kansas City Chiefs. They are teams heading in opposite directions due to their recent form, with both possessing completely different aspirations this season.

That being said, the Carolina Panthers can go into this game with a relaxed mindset which can allow them to play with a sense of freedom against arguably the NFL’s most talented team. This is something that has served them well against top opposition in 2020 and although the Chiefs are far superior to anyone they’ve faced so far, it should be another valuable learning experience for a young and improving roster.

The threat Kansas City poses is there for all to see. In Patrick Mahomes, they have a transcendent quarterback who can literally do it all. And the Chiefs have put some outstanding offensive weapons around him to ensure they maximize his exceptional ability.

Sleeping on their defense is also something that has come back to haunt teams of late. The unit improved steadily in 2019 on their way to the Vince Lombardi Trophy and this trend has continued during the first half of the title defense.

There are some lesser thought-of players on the Chiefs who can make a big impression on proceedings. Let’s take a look at four sneaky threats that Carolina needs to account for in Week 9.
