5 key Panthers matchups to watch vs. the Bucs in Week 10

Mike Davis vs. Devin White
The Carolina Panthers will be without the services of Christian McCaffrey on Sunday and possibly beyond thanks to a shoulder injury suffered late in their narrow loss at the Chiefs. This is a devastating blow to the player and the organization, with the All-Pro only recently returning from a high ankle sprain that kept him out for six weeks.
Mike Davis will once again assume the role of the primary back, something he’s done well this season overall in McCaffrey’s absence. His production may have declined in recent weeks, but the Panthers must keep faith with the veteran to give them any chance of achieving victory against the Buccaneers.
Davis is sure to see plenty of Devin White at the second level. The linebacker has been at the top of his game so far this season – his second in the NFL – and the former No. 5 overall pick is already a star.
White has recorded 82 combined tackles, 52 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks, eight quarterback hits, one forced fumble, and 10 pressures through nine games. He is a legitimate candidate for first-team All-Pro thanks to his exceptional standard of play, so Davis might have his work cut out getting away from a prolific sideline-to-sideline presence.
