Carolina Panthers vs. Bucs: What to expect

This will be a game between two teams who are looking to right some wrongs. The form normally goes out of the window during divisional matchups such as this, but it’s vital the Carolina Panthers continue to do what worked for them so well at the Chiefs last weekend.

Moving the ball efficiently and controlling the clock will be crucial. The Buccaneers possess a far superior defense to the one Carolina faced in Kansas City and they found it difficult to move the chains during their first outing in Week 2.

That being said, the Panthers look a lot more fluid at this point in the campaign. But they were dealt a significant blow with the loss of Christian McCaffrey after just one game back in the lineup thanks to a shoulder injury.

There does appear to be some cause for optimism regarding McCaffrey possibly returning to the lineup for Carolina’s Week 11 game against the Lions, but that won’t help them in this one.

Expect Tampa Bay to come out of the traps flying after their dismal outing at the Saints. They’ve got the weapons on offense to score quickly and the Panthers must find a way to get Tom Brady thinking twice with consistent pressure to stand any sort of chance of an elusive win.
