Howell’s potential fit with the Carolina Panthers

It’s really hard to gauge what sort of situation Sam Howell would be walking into with the Carolina Panthers in this particular scenario. Player personnel could look much different and the likelihood of offensive coordinator Joe Brady not in a head coaching role by this point is slim.

As stated previously, if the Panthers are in any sort of position to draft Howell in his current form, then things haven’t gone according to plan for head coach Matt Rhule in year two of his tenure. There is a lot of football to be played between now and then, but there is already an immense sense of intrigue surrounding the prospect and what he can do in the NFL.

One thing Howell would get in Carolina is time.

A luxury Teddy Bridgewater simply doesn’t have.

Replacing Cam Newton was never going to be the easiest of tasks. The fans aren’t happy with the way he was treated by the organization and one only has to look at the way so many are quick to jump on every Bridgewater mistake on social media to see that the signal-caller might not win everybody around through no fault of his own.

As for Howell, all he can do is keep playing at a high level, developing his outstanding skillset and everything else will work itself out.
