The Carolina Panthers can beat the Detroit Lions in Week 11.

Putting a disappointing defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10 to the back of their minds is pivotal for the Carolina Panthers ahead of another big test this weekend. Matt Rhule’s men are on a five-game losing run that has left plenty questioning just how long this current rebuild is going to take. But this represents a good opportunity for them to get themselves back to winning ways against the Detroit Lions at Bank of America Stadium.

It is vital that the Carolina Panthers generate some sort of momentum before their Week 13 bye that’s been a long time coming. Given their Week 12 opponent is the red-hot Minnesota Vikings, this appears to be their best possible chance of ending their concerning slide.

That might be easier said than done. The Panthers have plenty of injury concerns heading into the contest and might even be without their star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater due to an MCL sprain.

Despite these obvious concerns, there is nothing to suggest that Carolina cannot come away from this one with a victory that could be the springboard behind a turnaround in fortunes down the stretch. Here are four reasons why the Panthers will beat the Lions this weekend.

The Lions are without Kenny Golladay

Yes, the Panthers have some big injury problems of their own, but the Lions also look set to be without the services of stud wide receiver Kenny Golladay once again. The supremely talented pass-catcher has endured a frustrating campaign due to injury after breaking out in a big way last season and not having him in their ranks can give Carolina’s cornerback group a real shot in the arm.

They do have other primary weapons such as Marvin Jones. But quarterback Matthew Stafford is also dealing with a thumb injury and the last thing he needs is not having the security blanket of Golladay on the outside.
