Luke Getsy

If the Carolina Panthers opt for someone with a little more experience in the wake of Joe Brady’s potential departure, then Luke Getsy should be high on the shortlist. The Green Bay Packers passing coordinator has built a strong reputation over two spells with the organization, which was sandwiched between an offensive coordinator job with Mississippi State.

This didn’t exactly go according to plan under Dan Mullen, but it hasn’t detracted from the high esteem to which Getsy is held in the NFL. His relationship with Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been a key component behind his renaissance in 2020 and it is an attractive option for a team that does appear to need a little bit of assistance getting Teddy Bridgewater from a good signal-caller to a great one.

Getsy has a reputation for not suffering fools gladly, which is something similar to what we’ve seen from head coach Matt Rhule during his first campaign with the Panthers. He does appear a good fit for the organization in this regard and having someone who’s helped a Pro Football Hall of Fame-bound player such as Rodgers will be a massive assistance.

The Panthers will do everything they can to keep Brady around. He’s made a really big impression in just ten games and is sure to generate some head coaching interviews, at the very least.
