Carolina Panthers vs. Lions: Best bets

Because of all the injury uncertainty surrounding the contest, the majority of betting lines have been closed all week. It would be a surprise to see the Carolina Panthers as favored if Teddy Bridgewater is unable to go – but the spread is going to be minimal either way.

It’s hard to possess any great confidence in either Will Grier or P.J. Walker. They don’t even have the benefit of leaning on Christian McCaffrey to take some of the pressure off, so betting on Carolina is going to take a brave man.

That being said, this might be the making of whoever replaces Bridgewater.

An unlikely scenario, but one worth considering.

The Panthers have plenty of weapons in the passing game that can make a difference in space. This might also be the week we saw more targets coming the way of tight end Ian Thomas, who has been a relative afterthought through the first ten games.

Detroit has some outstanding threats that shouldn’t be taken lightly and they will be chomping at the bit with Bridgewater and McCaffrey out of action. The Lions are currently favored at -2.5. It’s hard to say which way this one is going to go – so our advice is to not bet the line this week.

The over-under for the game is anywhere between 45-48. If you can get the 48 then it would be wise to bet the under.
