Can Robby Anderson and D.J. Moore become an elite tandem?
The Carolina Panthers have a dynamic duo in Robby Anderson and D.J. Moore.
Before the 2020 season, the Carolina Panthers struggled to find reliable wide-receivers. The organization hasn’t had two wideouts get over 700 yards in a season since 2016 when Kelvin Benjamin was still the leading man. This year, they already have reached that mark with Robby Anderson and D.J. Moore.
It’s a change of pace for the Carolina Panthers and something they desperately needed. For the previous three seasons, Christian McCaffrey has ranked in the top-two in receiving yards thanks to his exceptional ability out of the backfield.
A welcome sight for fantasy owners, but not for a team who wants their All-Pro running back to have a long career.
The arrival of Anderson and Moore changes the offense’s future. One before this season that seemed stale and stagnant.
Anderson and Moore take away defensive attention from McCaffrey, leading to more space for a back who at times doesn’t even need much of an opening to burst for a big gain. Imagine a Carolina offense where the opposing defense can’t load the box.
The potential is there, but it’s reliant on Anderson and Moore making a leap. They’ve gotten off to a good start without quite hitting their stride at the same time during games and when they manage to do this, they’ll be even more of a force for the Panthers moving forward.
